Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient examinations, vital signs, and procedures to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient intake, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records accurately.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and specimen collection following strict safety protocols.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between patients and medical staff, ensuring clear and empathetic communication.
- Inventory: Monitor and order medical supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked facility.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification is required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient confidentiality and teamwork.
