What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and medical history collection with precision.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during clinical examinations and minor procedures.
- Manage front-desk operations including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient billing.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and maintain a clean clinic environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Document patient information accurately into Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with the nursing and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting (1-2 years preferred, new grads with externships considered).
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation.
