Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking medical history and recording vital signs accurately.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as directed by the provider.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to ensure all patient data is up-to-date and confidential.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
- Provide patient education on preventive care and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
