Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient assessments, including accurate recording of vital signs, weight, and height.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during medical procedures.
- Manage Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately, ensuring patient confidentiality and data integrity.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed physicians and nurses.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments, referrals, and prescription refills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but we welcome recent graduates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to adapt to different work schedules and flexible shifts.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems is a plus.
