Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake screenings, including recording vital signs and medical history.
- Prepare patients for examination by the physician, assisting with procedures and examinations.
- Manage administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and verifying insurance information.
- Assist with basic laboratory tests and specimen collection.
- Provide patient education and medication instructions.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
