Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs measurement, injections, and wound care preparation under the supervision of a physician.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patients.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies prior to patient arrival.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals to specialists.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
