Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and record data accurately in the medical record.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and ensuring patient privacy.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling patient inquiries.
- Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures as needed.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and sterilize equipment between patients.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient care.
