Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and accurately record data in electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed and in strict accordance with protocols.
- Manage patient scheduling, intake forms, and front-desk reception duties.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient interaction.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
