Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient examinations, minor procedures, and triage to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification efficiently.
- Lab & Testing: Perform basic lab tests, draw blood (phlebotomy), and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Vitals & Charts: Accurately measure and record vital signs and maintain organized medical charts.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, answering questions and providing instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with current certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA).
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, Athenahealth, etc.) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
