Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, phlebotomy, and administering EKGs.
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and patient education.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and charting.
- Prepare exam rooms and medical equipment for patient visits to ensure safety and hygiene.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and handle insurance verification as needed.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current, valid Arizona Medical Assistant license.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty clinic setting.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a plus.
