Your Role:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the vital link between our patients and our providers. You will ensure the smooth operation of our clinical departments while delivering exceptional customer service to every patient who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab draws with precision and care.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical records and insurance information accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of care plans.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment.
- Handle front desk reception duties, including phone calls and scheduling appointments.
Qualifications
- Certification or Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varying shifts.
