Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking, vitals, and ensuring privacy.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer injections/medications as directed, and draw blood samples.
- Manage patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient schedules, handle insurance verification, and manage front desk reception duties when needed.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centric care.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
