Your Mission:
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in patient interaction, diagnostic testing, and administrative support, ensuring every patient feels heard and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, including drawing blood and administering injections.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care.
- Manage pharmacy refill requests and communicate effectively with patients and insurance providers.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
