Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and update medical records accurately.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, weight, and other vital statistics.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, manage front-desk operations, and handle billing inquiries.
- Infection Control: Maintain a clean, sanitized environment and adhere to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification (WA state requirements apply).
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
