Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including vitals, medical history, and insurance verification.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring strict sterilization protocols.
- Collect and process lab specimens according to CLIA guidelines.
- Manage patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Coordinate patient appointments and facilitate smooth clinic workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high attention to detail.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
