Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Triage: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and accurately record patient history and vital signs.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Phlebotomy & Lab: Perform venipunctures, capillary draws, and EKGs with precision and adhere to all safety and infection control standards.
- Administrative Management: Schedule appointments, process referrals, maintain electronic health records (EHR), and handle incoming calls with professionalism.
- Medication & Treatment: Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, ensuring accurate dosing and documentation.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on medication regimens, lifestyle changes, and preventative care strategies.
- Inventory & Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, manage supplies, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; CMA or RMA certification is required.
- Licensure: Current Washington State Medical Assistant license (or eligible for licensure).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a multi-specialty clinic or medical office setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in electronic health record systems (Epic or Cerner experience preferred).
- Interpersonal: Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all backgrounds.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
