Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including vital sign measurement and documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain sterile environments
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and electronic health record (EHR) maintenance
- Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments under provider supervision
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical protocols
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
