Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals, and medical history documentation.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain strict hygiene standards.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by licensed providers.
- Coordinate patient appointments, manage workflow, and reduce wait times.
- Handle insurance verification, prior authorizations, and billing inquiries with professionalism.
- Assist in lab specimen collection and processing as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or clinic setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Reliable attendance and a positive, customer-service attitude.
