Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterilization and proper equipment setup
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain accurate patient documentation
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle billing procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
