Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including reviewing medical history and recording vital signs accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR), updating patient charts with visit notes and test results.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments to ensure seamless care.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and wellness strategies.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
