Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify personal information, and update medical records accurately in the EHR system.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and weight.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and patient education.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and process lab specimens for analysis.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, handle incoming calls, and prepare patient charts for daily visits.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to sterilization protocols and OSHA safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred).
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Organization: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize duties, and maintain organized medical records.
- Technology: Proficiency with EMR/EHR software is a plus.
