Responsibilities
- Accurately greet patients, check them in, and verify demographic information.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, etc.) and medical history.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
- Perform basic lab tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage patient scheduling, referrals, and electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- High school diploma or GED required.
