Responsibilities
- Perform Clinical Duties: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations, including vitals, physicals, and minor procedures.
- Phlebotomy & EKG: Accurately draw blood samples, administer injections, and perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as required.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and ensure a comfortable waiting area experience.
- Admin Support: Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Lab Management: Collect and process lab specimens, ensuring all quality control standards are met.
- Inventory: Manage medical supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or RMA-NYC) required.
- Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or Phlebotomy certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
