Job Overview:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the bridge between our patients and medical providers. You will ensure smooth clinic operations while providing high-quality care to our diverse patient population in Phoenix.
Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms, instruments, and medical supplies for patient visits.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications, and prepare blood samples as directed.
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, and instructions to patients to ensure understanding.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Manage front-desk duties including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is a plus.
