Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, physical examinations, and prepare patients for provider visits with precision and care.
- Manage patient intake and check-out procedures, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for every visitor.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist providers with minor procedures, injections, and phlebotomy as required.
- Coordinate lab specimens and coordinate referrals to specialists.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and medication management.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician practice setting.
- Proficiency with medical software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient satisfaction and empathy.
