Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Administer injections and medications as directed
- Schedule patient appointments and handle insurance verification
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical office
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- Washington DC medical assistant license (if applicable)
- Background check and drug screen required
