Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers during procedures
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests per protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation accurately and confidentially
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA credential
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent required
