Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications per physician protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verification, and process billing
- Inventory medical supplies and maintain exam room cleanliness
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction abilities
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
