Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, verify personal and insurance information, and prepare them for examination by the physician.
  • Vital Signs & Measurements: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and pulse.
  • Assist with Procedures: Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, and assist providers during exams and minor procedures.
  • Medication Administration: Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as prescribed by physicians, following strict safety protocols.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient charts, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle incoming calls and correspondence efficiently.
  • Lab Work: Collect and process lab specimens, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to the laboratory.
  • Follow-up: Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patients with necessary instructions for post-care.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
  • Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting preferred, though we are willing to train the right candidate for an immediate hire.
