Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Schedule appointments, manage front desk operations, and handle insurance verification
- Assist with sterilization of equipment and inventory management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency in EHR systems and basic office software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
