Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy
- Document patient information accurately in EHR systems
- Sterilize equipment and maintain exam room cleanliness
- Schedule appointments and handle patient registration
- Assist with basic lab tests and EKG procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Michigan state medical assistant license
