Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and administer medications as directed
- Manage patient scheduling, billing, and electronic health records (EHR)
- Perform basic lab tests, collect specimens, and maintain sterile exam rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with healthcare team
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- High school diploma or equivalent with accredited medical assistant training
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in fast-paced environments
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
