Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during diagnostic procedures
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, and phlebotomy services
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer injections and medications as prescribed by physicians
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up appointments
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital or specialty clinic
- BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
