Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, injections, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient intake, medical histories, and electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule appointments and handle insurance verification
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Provide patient education on medications and treatment plans
- Coordinate referrals and lab results with specialists
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in high-pressure situations
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
