Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, collecting copays and verifying insurance information accurately.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
- Record and update patient medical histories, vitals, and allergies.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain organized patient charts.
- Coordinate laboratory tests and communicate results to patients and physicians.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, or similar) is a plus.
