Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs, collect specimens, and perform basic lab tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verifications, and maintain patient flow
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Active certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
