Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. You will work closely with physicians and nurses to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and escort them to examination rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, blood pressure, and temperature.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with procedures and ensuring patient privacy.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine drug screens or EKGs, following strict protocols.
- Manage patient records electronically, updating charts accurately and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Assist providers with minor office procedures and patient education.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred but willing to train qualified candidates.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Experience in a primary care or specialty medical office setting is a plus.
