Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and record medical histories accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment before patient visits.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by providers.
- Manage patient intake, including insurance verification and registration.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinical area to ensure safety standards.
- Coordinate with insurance companies regarding billing and claims.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or completion of an externship program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to adhere to strict medical protocols and HIPAA regulations.
