Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, patient assessments, and health screenings under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and surgeries; assist physicians during exams.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations following strict protocols and HIPAA guidelines.
- Manage and maintain accurate patient medical records, including charting and electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and manage front-desk reception duties as needed.
- Assist in basic laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
