Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and obtain accurate medical histories.
- Measure vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and record them in electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and ensure sterility of equipment.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Administer medications and injections as authorized by the provider.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
