Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures.
- Perform and document vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy).
- Manage patient intake, update medical records, and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
- Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and assist with front desk operations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various shifts available.
