Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as required.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment between patients.
- Administer medications and vaccines under provider supervision.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes professionally.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new grads are welcome.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Proficiency with medical software and computer systems.
