Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intakes, vitals, and medical histories.
- Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare and maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with strict adherence to privacy laws.
- Instruct patients on medication, diet, and follow-up care instructions.
- Coordinate diagnostic testing, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe examination environment.
- Handle front-desk reception duties as needed, including appointment scheduling.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred (1+ years).
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic or AthenaHealth experience is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
