Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient files
- Schedule appointments, manage inventory, and ensure clinic compliance
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with specialists and insurance for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or graduate from accredited program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification and knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- North Carolina state license or eligibility to obtain immediately
