Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify personal and insurance information accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring privacy and comfort.
- Assist providers with minor surgical procedures, EKGs, and phlebotomy as needed.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and communicate effectively with patients and families.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (American Heart Association BLS required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy healthcare environment.
