Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with patient examinations, including vital sign measurements and documentation
- Perform clinical procedures such as EKGs, injections, wound care, and phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Assist in patient education regarding treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure environments
- CA state medical assistant certification (if applicable)
