Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient intake, including taking vital signs, medical history, and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, strictly following safety protocols.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, manage test results, and facilitate referrals to specialists.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment in accordance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns with empathy.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens (e.g., blood draws) as required.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a physician practice or outpatient setting.
- Strong proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation.
