Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory procedures (phlebotomy) with high accuracy.
- Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical instruments to ensure a sterile and welcoming environment.
- Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage patient flow, coordinate referrals, and handle incoming inquiries professionally.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by licensed providers in accordance with state regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
