As a Medical Assistant at our San Antonio facility, you will be the vital link between our patients and our medical team. We pride ourselves on providing premium patient care and offer a collaborative environment where your skills are valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient vitals, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient exams and procedures.
- Administer injections, EKGs, and basic lab tests as directed by medical staff.
- Manage patient check-in processes, update electronic health records (EHR), and ensure confidentiality.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education regarding medications and aftercare.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting.
- CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification is highly preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
