Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, history taking, and vitals checks accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment to ensure hygiene and readiness.
- Handle administrative duties such as medical record filing, insurance billing, and appointment scheduling.
- Ensure patient privacy and comfort at all times while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
